Latest political poll results show Smer-SD on top

If a general election was to be held today, six parties would make it into Parliament, according to an opinion poll conducted by FOCUS agency between June 2-10 on a sample of 1,018 respondents, Martin Slosiarik from the agency told TASR on Tuesday. The governing Smer-SD party would have gained the most votes - 35.3 percent, winning 69 seats. Compared to the same poll in May this is an increase by 2.1 percentage points. Sieť would come second on 10.9 percent (up by 0.2 p.p.), winning 21 seats. Two other parties had slightly higher support than in May - the Christian Democratic Movement (KDH) on 9.5 percent (up by 0.1 p.p.), which would have translated into 18 seats, and Most-Hid on 7.8 percent (up 0.4 p.p.), which would have gained 15 seats. Some other parties saw their support drop - OLaNO on 7.7 percent (down by 0.1 p.p) and 15 seats, and the Slovak National Party (SNS) on 6.4 percent (down by 0.9 p.p.) and 12 seats. Parties who scored over 5 percent in May but wouldn't have got into Parliament in June were Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) on 4.6 percent and the Hungarian Community Party (SMK) on 4.3 percent. Other parties that wouldn't have made into Parliament were TIP (2.7 percent), NOVA (2.5 percent) and SDKU-DS (2.4 percent).
