Andrej Kiska one year in office

Slovak President Andrej Kiska has been serving in the highest state position for exactly a year now. On this occasion he is to hold an open day at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava on Monday, June 15, for the first time since he took up office last year on the very same day. Kiska will be at the palace to welcome visitors in person. In an interview given to the tabloid Plus jeden deň, Kiska underlined the main aim of his presidency: "I want people to trust the president to be confident of the state. I want them to be proud that they live in Slovakia, and those who left, I want to encourage them to come back to help us." On Thursday, June 18, Kiska should present a report on the state of the Republic in the Slovak parliament.
