Possible new investment coming to Slovakia

Within two or three months it should be clear whether Slovakia will acquire an important investment in the automotive sector, economy minister-in-waiting Vazil Hudák confirmed on the public broadcaster RTVS's discussion show on Sunday. Hudák didn't want to specify any details concerning a potential location for the investment and the identity of the investor, saying that this was among the requirements of the investor itself. "It's a large, potential investment, with Slovakia among a small shortlist of countries in the final phase," said the future minister, adding that negotiations to this effect are taking place on a daily basis. The minister-to-be said that Slovakia is considering offering tax relief for the investor, adding that the country will possibly have to adopt certain legislative measures in order to accommodate the needs of the investor.
