The immigration issue shouldn't be dealt with in a vulgar and primitive manner, Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák said on Wednesday in reaction to the planned protest of football hooligans against immigration and the 'Islamisation of Slovakia' set to take place in Bratislava next week. "The Slovak Government has significant objections against the European Commission's proposal on the introduction of mandatory quotas, because we don't think that this is the right solution," said Lajčák. However, violent protests aren't the correct solution, either, he added. According to the news website aktuality.sk, the Bratislava-Old Town borough has registered a request to permit a public gathering wanting to point to the inappropriately set EU immigration policies. A page was created on a social network calling on groups of football hooligans from Slovakia and the Czech Republic to join the protest.
