The Levice-based power engineering company Adato is heading towards bankruptcy, and approximately one hundred employees are expected to end up at the labour office. Last year, the company had planned to build new production facilities but was harshly hit by the bankruptcy of the Czech company Moravia Energo.
This follows figures released last month which show the number of job offers posted on Slovakia’s largest jobs website Profesia.sk dropped by 12% in the first half of this year, and that at the end of June, 71,700 job seekers in Slovakia have been without jobs for more than four years. This is approximately 17 percent of the total number of unemployed individuals registered at labour offices.
