Former Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič is recuperating after surgery on his large intestine at the National Oncology Institute in Bratislava, the Denník N daily reported citing two independent sources. The 74 year old ex-President, whose second term ended just last year, was admitted to hospital on May 31. Health Minister Viliam Čislák is set to pay a visit to former president Gašparovič.
