Slovak children taste alcohol for the first time when they are ten years old, according to a survey called 'Tobacco, Alcohol, Drugs' carried out at primary and secondary schools in 1994-2012. The survey has also revealed that children have been ever more interested in gutsy drinking with the goal solely being to get boozed up. In Slovakia it is forbidden to sell alcoholic drinks to people under the age of 18 but alcohol is widely available in Slovak households and it is still sold to underage consumers in pubs, according to the police who raid them. Girls tend to consume alcohol more often than boys at younger ages. A report on alcohol consumption among youngsters is to be discussed by the Government on Wednesday.
