The Slovak team of white-water canoeists became the most successful team at the European Canoe Slalom Championships held in Markkleeberg, Germany, from May 29-31. Slovakia won five precious metals - three gold and two bronzes, and despite the disappointing results of Slovaks in the individual disciplines, Slovaks switched to winning mode in the team competitions, winning both gold in the women's kayak and in canoe doubles, thus collecting the most medals at the tournament. Next year the European Championships will be held in Liptovský Mikuláš in Slovakia.
