The growth rate of consumer prices in Slovakia continues to decelerate slightly. In July, inflation measured by the national index was at 1.5 percent; down from June’s 1.6 percent. Year-on-year, prices increased mainly in education by 7 percent, food and non-alcoholic beverages by 4.3 percent, and alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 3.1 percent. Transport prices went down by 0.2 percent.
