Slovakia wants from Russia money rather than a cyclotron centre

No more technology from Russia for the cyclotron centre. As a means of paying off Russian debt Slovakia now wants money instead. The project of the cyclotron centre started in 1996 and so far cost more than €122 million of Russian debt and another €29 million from the Slovak state budget. However, so far there's only a half finished building of the centre standing in Bratislava and specialised technology that is stored on Russian territory. On Wednesday the government has decided that Slovakia does not want to keep putting off the project of the specialised cyclotron centre and spend more of the country's money on it, but instead wants to ask for money from Russia now. The government is to continue negotiations with Russia on this matter until the end of June.
