Some Slovak pensioners will see their Christmas bonus rise by almost €13. The government approved this bill on Wednesday. "The proposed bill seeks to introduce a one-off increase in the Christmas bonus for pensioners with low retirement benefits, which will contribute to increasing the standard of living of low-income pensioners during Christmas time," said the Labour, Social Affairs and Family ministry. The measure will apply to all pensioners whose retirement benefits don't exceed twice the amount of minimum subsistence level for an adult person, or just under €400.
