Slovakia will consider the application for police aid submitted by the Ukrainian Interior Ministry. Slovak Interior Minister Robert Kalinak confirmed on Thursday. Ukraine has turned to a number of European states for help. Robert Kalinak pointed out that police patrolling in foreign countries is guided by intragovernmental agreements and represents a delicate matter. Slovakia has posted police officers in some countries. For instance, there are specialists on organised crime in Bulgaria and Romania. "But those are individuals [rather than units]," added the Interior Minister.
