President Andrej Kiska went today on an official visit to Ukraine to meet Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Parliamentary Chairman Volodymyr Groysman. Discussion topics of these meetings are to include the situation in Ukraine, the status of reforms, political and economic recovery and Ukraine's European aspirations. During his visit, Kiska will also deliver humanitarian aid for citizens from war-torn areas and the children's department of the oncology institute in Kiev. On Thursday (May 21) Kiska will travel from Kiev to Riga, Latvia's capital, where he will attend the two-day Eastern Partnership summit, which should evaluate the progress of the Eastern Partnership countries - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, and discuss possibilities for further cooperation.
