The National Crime Agency (NAKA) interrogated the construction company Vahostav's restructuring trustee Petra Gabrišová and the company general director Marian Moravčik. The police have launched an investigation into three potential crimes concerning the restructuring of this company. The first investigation launched concerned the possible deliberate damage caused to creditors, while later the police also began looking into possible fraud and a deliberate downgrading of the company. No charges have been pressed so far. "I've stated several times that according to the law I'm bound by secrecy, so I certainly won't provide any statements during restructuring," Gabrišová told aktuality.sk. The police carried out a raid at Vahostav a few weeks ago, seized accounting documents and interrogated several leading figures of the company, including its major co-owner Juraj Siroky and his son and former general director. Juraj Siroky has close links to the Governing Smer party. Vahostav has acummulated debts of €136 million and plans to cover only 18% of the sums owed to smaller creditors.
