The highest annual increase in average nominal monthly salaries in Slovakia in March was recorded in information and communications activities at 7.3 percent year-on-year, the Statistics Office reported on Thursday. Average monthly salaries in information and communications activities in March stood at €1,945. Other increases were seen in accommodation (6.7 percent y-o-y to €621 per month), in the sale and repair of motor vehicles (6.6 percent to €851), in restaurants and pubs (4.9 percent to €384), in industry (4.5 percent to €946), in construction (3.7 percent to €593), in transport and warehousing (2.2 percent to €781), in retail (1.6 percent to €583) and in selected market services (0.2 percent to €781).
