Single-child families and couples deciding to opt out of parenthood are expected to be commonplace in Slovakia around the year 2035, claims the results of a new research program. Researcher from the Demographic Research Institute Branislav Šprocha said this at a presentation entitled Research for Social Integration in Practice: Slovakia 2035. Furthermore, about one in five women of childbearing age will be childless in this period.
