Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák sent his condolences via telegram to his Nepalese counterpart Mahendra Bahadur Pandey on Sunday in reaction to the earthquake that hit Kathmandu on Saturday, said the ministry's press department. "It is with deep regret and grief that I received the news about the extensive loss of life, a great number of injured and serious material damage caused by the destructive earthquake in Nepal. Please accept my condolences and expression of solidarity with the people of Nepal afflicted by this tragic natural catastrophe," wrote Lajčák.
