On an official visit to Split, Croatia on Wednesday, Slovak Defence Minister Martin Glváč spoke with his Croatian counterpart about cooperation in the defence industry including education, training and modernisation. As Croatia plans to replace its helicopters and fighter aircraft in the future, the Slovak Minister Glváč informed his counterpart about the current Slovak modernisation processes that include the purchase of American helicopters and the chartering of fighter aircraft flight hours. Slovakia is prepared to provide Croatian specialists with training involving toxic substances and urban combat at its top training facilities. Moreover, the Slovak Minister invited Croatian soldiers to the planned exercises which are to be held in Slovakia. "Such participation would benefit interoperability," stated the Minister. And on the back of that the Croatian politician offered training opportunity for Slovak divers in his country. During his visit to Croatia, Minister Glváč also visited the ASDA 2015 (Adriatic Sea Defence & Aerospace) exhibition at Split, where 119 exhibitors from 21 countries are presenting their wares.
