Slovak Prime minister Robert Fico met on Monday with the US Senior Anti-Corruption Coordinator George Kent and the US ambassador to Slovakia Theodore Sedgwick to discuss the Rule of Law initiative. This programme includes reforms aimed at building greater public trust and in fighting corruption. The U.S. strategic vision for Europe, according to Kent is, that it remains "a continent whole, free, and at peace", but this project remains unfinished, in no small part due to the instability caused by corruption. George Kent will also be present at a public discussion about this topic taking place in Bratislava later on Monday.
