The number of Slovak companies whose owner has an address in a tax haven decreased by 114 to some 4200. The largest outflow of companies is from Monaco and Jersey, says a study carried out by the consulting company Bisnode. As their analyst Petra Štepánová stated this is related to the toughening regulations, tax and legislative changes and also to the strengthened oversight and concerns of bank secrecy provisions. "It isn't currently possible to predict whether there's a change in trend or if this is a statistical blip," said Petra Štepánová. "In any case, we see a noticeable slowdown in the dynamics of interest in creating ownership structures using destinations considered to be tax havens," stated analyst Štepánová.
