Emília Petríková is only 20 years old, but she has already achieved scientific recognition abroad. Her research focuses on treating skin cancer, more concretely how aspirin and salicylic acid promote cell death in malignant melanoma. Recently this student of medicine received a scholarship through the Talents of a New Europe programme, thanks to which she will be able to do an internship at the renowned Mayo Clinic in the United States. There she will research brain tumours.
