There are a total of 156 political parties registered in Slovakia, with 86 of them undergoing dissolution now, Michaela Kováčová of the Interior Ministry's department for elections, referendums and political parties has told TASR. Six new parties were founded in 2014 and another two parties have been registered with the ministry since January of this year - former SaS and NOVA member Juraj Miškov's Slovak Civic Coalition (SKOK) as well as Šanca (Chance) party founded by former Rádio Expres head as well as former SDKU-DS member Eva Babitzová. As per the ministry's website, another 10 parties are in the offing, as long as they meet the legal requirements of 10,000 signatures, that is.
