The National Crime Agency (NAKA) has pressed bribery charges against a Skalica Town Hall (Trenčín region) employee over his purportedly asking for a kickback of €22,000, TASR learnt on Tuesday. According to Martin Waldl of the Police Corps Presidium department for communication and prevention, the employee of Skalica Town Hall's department for strategic development and marketing is suspected of having asked for a bribe from a local entrepreneur in exchange for securing contracts and ensuring that his invoices will be approved. The man was arrested after receiving the bribe of €22,000. He is now in custody and may face up to eight years in prison if convicted.
