Over 120 calls received at new hotline for abused women and kids

As many as 124 calls have been received over the past two weeks since the launch of a hotline and e-mail address for abused women and children at the Prosecutor-General's Office. "I view the launch of this hotline to be one of the ways of curbing the tardy response time on the part of competent authorities in these cases. I believe this office has all the capability to take appropriate measures without pointless delays", said Prosecutor General Jaromír Čižnár. All received information is being analysed and forwarded to the responsible regional prosecutor's offices.
