Slovakia is set to cooperate with the United Arab Emirates in fighting against terrorism, according to a memorandum signed by Slovak Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák and UAE Interior Minister Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Saturday in Abu Dhabi. According to the memorandum, Slovakia is expected to assist UAE in boosting security measures at its borders. After Croatia, the United Arab Emirates will be the second foreign country in which Slovak specialists will be called on to help in protecting national borders. The Slovak side offered to Sheikh Nahyan an option to carry out a military exercise of the UAE security forces in Slovakia.
