A new website is to be launched to serve as the main communications channel for the Slovak presidency of the European Union in the latter half of 2016. The Government approved a report on Wednesday on the state of Slovakia's preparations for the presidency, which was presented by the Foreign and European Affairs Ministry. In addition, the number of staff working for central government authorities' will be enhanced, as well as the Permanent Representation of Slovakia in Brussels. According to the envisaged work programme, Slovakia will be visited by more than 20,000 delegates. The expenditures on preparing and carrying out the presidency are estimated at more than €15 million.
