Trust in the Office of President is gradually being restored and people who were asking what's the use in having a President a year ago are raising this question less and less, President Andrej Kiska evaluated the first year since he was elected to the office on RTVS's political discussion program on Sunday. Kiska described the past year a one of great change. "Around this time a year ago I realized the great trust people have in me but also my great commitments. I got the feeling that I can't let them down. The trust of people still works as a strong motivating force for me," said Kiska. He conceded that he wasn't aware how many things he would have to do as president. According to Kiska, the Cabinet is doing a good job in terms of governance and adherence to rules, however, what he feels is lacking are solutions to the most pressing problems of Slovakia, particularly the great regional disparities and the exodus of young people from the poorer regions.
