Brussels should send experts vis-a-vis the drawing of EU funds in problematic areas to Slovakia, which includes public procurements. This stems from a meeting featuring Slovak Deputy Prime Minister for Investments Ľubomír Vážny and European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Cretu in Bratislava on Thursday. The talks addressed the maximum use of commitments from the 2007-13 programme period. Information on the options provided by the European Commission for the sake of more efficient drawing of the funding was broached. The authorities concerned asked Corina Cretu and the European Commission to adopt a revision of the guidelines to the conclusion of the previous programme period.
