Slovaks can express their support to oncological patients by buying daffodils on Friday. This is the 19th year of the so called Daffodil Day organised by the League against cancer. Volunteers in Slovak streets have been collecting contributions by handing over yellow flowers to each contributor. They then express their solidarity with the oncological patients by wearing the badge. The goal of the national event is to inform the public about cancer and about the current situation of the ill in Slovakia in order not to threat but connect people. Last year, the collected sum reached almost €907 000.
