In the near future, the Education, Science, Research and Sport Ministry is to initiate an inspection into the management of financial resources allocated by the ministry to the Slovak Skiing Association (SLA). Education Minister Juraj Draxler confirmed this claiming that the probe comes in response to a recent dispute between the Association and the alpine skiers Adam and Andreas Žampa concerning their funding. "Regardless of this case, it needs to be said that the system of financing sport isn't set well and therefore it is necessary to change the rules so that the funding is more transparent," stated Minister Draxler. In addition, the minister hopes that desired changes will be brought by a new law on sport, which is currently being drafted at the Ministry.
