Slovak Prime Minister sends condolences to Germany and Spain

Following the crash of Germanwings flight 4U 9525 on March 24, Prime Minister Robert Fico sent condolence telegrams to German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy to express his sympathies. This was announced by the Government Office press department on Tuesday. "It is with great sadness that I learned the news about the crash of the aircraft of the German airline company Germanwings, in which a large number of passengers died tragically, including citizens of the German Federal Republic and Spanish Kingdom", Fico wrote in the telegram. "Allow me to send my condolences to you and all the relatives of the victims". The aircraft, a 24 year old Airbus A320, was travelling from Barcelona to Dusseldorf, crashing early in the flight on Tuesday in the French Alps with 150 souls onboard, including a school group and two babies. Most passengers were German and Spanish nationals and there have been no reported survivors. The black box has been recovered and an investigation is underway.
