Ninety-five Ukrainian children from the affected areas of Luhansk and Donetsk arrived on Saturday, 21 March in Slovakia. They should spend here two weeks in the Slovak parliament's recreation facility near Modra. "We are doing this so the kids can relax from the stress at least for those two weeks. We know it's not much, but at least they get to a different setting, different living conditions," explains Ľudmila Verbická from the Slovak-Ukrainian initiative. After the March group there should come two more groups of children from Ukraine, including also older students. According to Verbická, the trip has also an educational purpose with the students getting to learn about Slovakia and the European Union.
