European Commissioner for Health and Food Safety Vytenis Andriukaitis paid a visit to Slovakia's National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NÚSCH) in Bratislava on Friday amidst his two-day trip to Slovakia. Andriukaitis, who is a former heart surgeon, appreciated the equipment and work on the wards of the Institute. EU Commissioner also met members of Parliament's health care committee as well as its agriculture and environment committee to discuss public health, Slovakia's EU presidency in the second half of 2016 and the EU's current proposals concerning health care and food safety.
