Due to Russia's illegal occupation of Crimea, Slovak President Andrej Kiska has declined to take part in Moscow celebrations commemorating the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. The Russian newswire TASS meanwhile has reported that Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico will take the president's place at the celebrations. "We expect the Czech president, the head of the Slovak government, the Greek prime minister, and the president of Cyprus," said Russian Foreign Affairs Minister Sergey Lavrov. However, spokesperson for the prime minister Beatrice Szabóová has denied this information. "The definitive decision has not been made yet," she said for the news portal HNonline.sk.
