Slovak firm establishes itself in Laos with energy projects

The Slovak investment group Slavia Capital has launched energy projects in Laos through its subsidiary Energy & Commodities, with a project to build two pipelines between Laos and Vietnam. "This is the first phase of the project. We have gathered technical, legal and marketing data. We performed exploratory, hydrological and geological work. We have also conducted intensive design calculations", said chairman of Energy & Commodities Pavel Horváth. The project pipeline between Vietnam and Laos is by far the largest in terms of Slovakia-Laotian economic cooperation to date and was the reason for the November visit of a Laotian-Vietnamese delegation to Slovakia. The pipeline will transport petrol and diesel from the Vietnamese Hon La distribution terminal in Lao Lang Khang. It will include two parallel pipes at lengths of 148 km, delivering 6.6 million tons per year of petrofuel products.
