Eustream: Slovak-Hungarian pipeline to be launched in July

The Slovak-Hungarian gas pipeline connection should be launched into operation as late as in July, spokesman for gas transport operator Eustream Vahram Chuguryan told TASR on Monday. The pipeline overall hasn't been tested yet. Eustream announced back in March last year that it had completed the Slovak part of the gas link (18.6 km). The Hungarian part of the pipeline with a yearly capacity of 4.38 billion cubic metres is longer - 92.1 km. Hungarian company Magyar Gaz Tranzit Zrt. (MGT) back in December informed Eustream about technical problems at Hungary's Szada compressor station that have caused delays in launching a trial run of the Slovak-Hungarian (SK-HU) gas pipeline.
