Street prostitutes face rights infringements more often

Women working as street prostitutes are often subjected to violence and infringement of their rights, said Odyseus civil association based on its experience to mark International Women's Day on Sunday. According to programme coordinator Olivia Strelková, women on the streets face the violation of their rights by customers, but also by ordinary passers-by and the police. In 2014 Odyseus launched a project through which it works on improving the legal knowledge of street prostitutes, but according to Strelková, it's important also to "point to the violence that is committed against them."
