Four companies eyeing the Enel share in Slovenske Elektrarne

Enel has drawn interest from four European energy companies for its controlling stake in the Slovak power generator Slovenske Elektrarne, three sources close to the deal confirmed for Reuters. Finland's Fortum, Czech generators CEZ and EPH, and a Hungarian consortium comprising of the MOL unit Slovnaft and the state-owned MVM Group have all expressed interest in the 66 percent stake that Enel has in the biggest Slovak power utility. The remaining, a minority 34 percent share is owned by the Slovak Republic, managed by the Economy Ministry.
