Police asks for public opinion on speed radars

The Slovak police want to hear from people, where do they think it is necessary to measure speed on the Slovak roads. Police officers are preparing for mid-April an event called Speed Marathon, during which they will measure speed on road sections suggested by Slovak citizens. According to the statistics of the Police presidium, last year speeding was the reason of 30 percent of deaths on the roads. In 2014, 259 people died on the Slovak roads, 75 of them were victims of speeding.
