Members of the armed forces of the United Arab Emirates may engage in training at the Lest military training facility in central Slovakia. Such interest was conveyed by Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Slovak Defence Minister Martin Glváč and Chief of the General Staff of Slovakia's Armed Forces Milan Maxim. Slovak officials were received by the Prince in the Emirates. The Slovak defence minister also visited the International Defence Exhibition and Conference IDEX 2015 in Abu Dhabi. The Slovak Armed Forces, the Lest military training facility and Slovak companies operating in the defence industry were presented at the exhibition for the first time.
