Lambara Chána, the murderer of the Slovak soldier in Afghanistan should be included to the list of the world’s most wanted criminals, thinks the Slovak government. According to commercial TV station Markíza, the Defence Ministry is currently analysing the possibilities of getting him on the list. However, NATO member countries would need to approve this beforehand. It is a frequent practice, especially by the American FBI, that a financial reward is offered on the head of a wanted criminal.
As the SME daily informs, Slovakia has not yet offered any such incentive. Security analyst Ivo Samson thinks, this could help in catching the criminal. The incident happened in Kandahar at the beginning of July. This member of the Taliban infiltrated into the Afghan army and shot at a group of Slovak soldiers from a guard tower at the back. One man died and 6 soldiers were wounded. The murderer escaped then from prison.
