The fight against terrorism is one of the EU's top priorities. However, according to Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, he does not agree with all the initiatives taken in this effort. The prime minister stated this after the EU summit in Brussels. He sees the biggest problem as being the implementation of new controls on the inner borders of the Schengen area. Robert Fico rejects the proposal to simplify the application of inner controls. According to him, the free movement of people is a great EU value. "We refuse new reasons to limit it in the frame of the Schengen agreement", concluded the Slovak prime minister. On the other side, Slovakia supports the exchange of information on flight passengers agreed upon in Brussels on Thursday.
