PM Fico on helping in the struggle against Islamic State and EU enlargement

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico is attending an informal European Union summit in Brussels on Thursday. Ahead of this he attended a session of the Slovak Parliament's European Affairs Committee. Slovakia is ready to contribute towards the international struggle against the Islamic State, reads the outline of Slovakia's foreign and European policy for 2015 as approved by Parliament on Wednesday. With consideration of its potential, Slovakia wants to continue in taking part in foreign military missions. When it comes to EU enlargement, Slovakia supports the integration ambitions of countries from the Western Balkans, as well as Turkey's accession if the country meets all the prerequisites. Slovakia holds a similar view in terms of NATO enlargement.
