The rift between the West and Russia over the crisis in Ukraine is very deep, said Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák at the Munich Security Conference on Sunday. "In my view, we're in a situation in which we aren't leading any dialogue. We've halted most communication channels with Russia - whether this is at the level of NATO, the EU or bilaterally. And where we're still communicating it's more like monologues in which we're closed within our own worlds and with our own truth. It's also been obvious in Munich that listening and understanding is two different things", said Lajčák when summarising his impressions from the Security Conference.
