Slovak and Hungarian police are appealing to the public to help locate a missing 36-year monk from a Jesuit monastery in Budapest. The man, named Laszlo Varga, has short brown hair, is 180 cm tall, of medium build with a weight of about 80 kg. "Around midnight on January 27, the aforementioned man left a monastery building on 50 Hóranszky Street in Budapest, Hungary heading to Košice in Slovakia with suicidal intentions and from that date Hungarian police have been unable to determine his current whereabouts or movements", explained Košice county police spokeswoman Jana Mesárová. The missing monk is not carrying any proof of identity, credit cards, or mobile telephone. Any information about his whereabouts can be relayed to any department of the police force via the freephone number 158.
