Since the beginning of the economic crisis about 5 years ago, Slovaks have become more pessimistic about their financial situation, according to a survey carried out by TNS Slovakia. More than one-third of Slovakia’s economically active population believe that their standard of living has gone down in comparison with last year.
It found out that about 70 percent of people buy cheaper and often lower quality products. Despite this, as many as 72 percent of those asked admitted that they often spend their free time in shopping centres.
