The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is dissatisfied with the fact that Slovakia has still not adopted legislation on the criminal liability of companies. It sent a letter to Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico asking him to resolve this problem. This fact is mentioned in a report on the implementation of measures to ensure compliance with the recommendations for Slovakia adopted by the Working Group on Bribery in International Business Transactions, which is currently undergoing interdepartmental review.
The Slovak delegate mentioned that Slovakia has established a working group by the Justice Ministry, which has the task of drafting a new special law on the criminal liability of legal persons. It stated that the Cabinet adopted a resolution with specific tasks, which are addressed to eleven entities with specified deadlines.
