Education, Science, Research and Sport Minister Juraj Draxler has decided not to lend support to the establishment of two new private universities - A. Ruprecht Technology Institute in Šamorín (in the Trnava region) and the University of Economy and Business at an undetermined location. "The university education market in Slovakia is oversaturated already and the fields that were to be taught at these schools are sufficiently covered by existing universities," stated Minister Draxler. There are 13 private universities in Slovakia at the moment.
