Fishermen from Považská Bystrica during Saturday's nationwide census on wintering water birds, registered on the Nosice dam about 100 of cormorants. This nationwide census was part of an International Waterbird Census, which takes place each year in mid-January. According to the ornithologist Ivana Kalafusová, it's the disastrously small numbers of fish in Slovak waters that influences the number of Cormorants, but also other water birds.
