Robert Fico takes part in the anti-terrorism march in Paris

Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico praised what he called the high degree of togetherness and expression of mutual support displayed at the march against terrorism in Paris, France, on Sunday. "It's being estimated that the number of people taking part is so huge that it exceeds the numbers of people at rallies following the liberation of Paris [in 1944]. This is a moving experience, such a peaceful mass march is the best response to the events that occurred. You could feel a great deal of solidarity, togetherness. People sang the French anthem and shouted supportive chants," said the premier. The fact that the world's top politicians have shown their support by attending the march attests to the magnitude of the issue. "I have talked to several prime ministers. The fight against terrorism will be discussed at the next European Council summit," added Fico.
